The State of Ohio is seeking a Transportation Engineer 1 or 2 for Roadway Design. The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive training program, work alongside professional engineers, and contribute to the design and delivery of roadway projects ensuring public safety and accessibility.

Responsibilities

You will receive a thorough introduction to the three core civil engineering disciplines
You will work along side of ODOT professional engineers
You will receive hands-on transportation training & experience needed to further your career as an engineer with ODOT
Help design and deliver roadway projects for the public to ensure safety, accessibility and maintenance of our state, US, and interstate routes
Learn how to use the latest transportation design, modeling, and plan production technology (CADD, drafting, MicroStation, etc.) to create construction plans

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
Valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 1, 85641
Bachelor's degree in engineering; valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 2 yrs. engineering related experience
Must show proof of valid driver's license OR must provide own transportation
