Responsibilities
Support gear machining process engineering and launch activities
Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, and productivity
Complete PPAP documentation for quality launches
Lead process audits and ensure compliance with internal guidelines
Conduct ergonomic evaluations and develop corrective actions
Create work instructions, process sheets, and supporting documentation
Lead lean initiatives (5S, variability reduction, Kaizen, VSM)
Support ISO 14001 compliance and internal auditing
Identify throughput constraints and implement root-cause solutions
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience - gear manufacturing
Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, processes, and lean principles
Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Hypoid bevel gear machining experience (blanking, milling, grinding, heat treat, shot peening)
Experience with Klingelnberg P40 or Gleason Nano Gear CMM
Familiarity with Six Sigma, DMAIC/DMADV, PPAP, FMEA, DOEs
Quality tools experience (QDAS, Minitab)
