Responsibilities
Design and build prototype systems using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms
Develop and execute test setups involving sensors, actuators, and data acquisition systems
Use LabVIEW or similar software for automated testing and data logging
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in prototype systems
Specify and source instrumentation required to implement test procedures
Conduct routine physical, chemical, and mechanical testing of prototypes and components
Prepare samples and test setups according to established protocols
Record, analyze, and document test data, generating clear and accurate reports
Maintain, calibrate, and organize laboratory equipment and work areas
Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and safety procedures
Support documentation for design verification and validation activities
Interface with engineering teams to refine prototype designs and testing plans
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
3–5 years of experience in a technical lab, prototyping, or product development environment (minimum of 2 years required)
Experience conducting routine physical, chemical, and mechanical testing
Proficiency with LabVIEW, Arduino, and basic circuit design
Familiarity with mechanical and electrical lab tools and instrumentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
