Responsibilities
Design and build complete mechanical automation systems from concept through final integration
Manage and oversee the construction and execution of automation projects
Create detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Lead mechanical fixture design, including jigs, tooling, and precision components
Perform metal fabrication, including machining, cutting, welding (if applicable), and assembly
Operate and program 3‑axis CNC mills and CNC lathes for manufacturing custom parts
Execute designs from start to finish —concept, CAD, prototype, fabrication, assembly, testing, and system validation
Integrate mechanical elements with controls, robotics, and automation hardware
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in Engineering with 3–6+ years of experience, or
MA/MS with 0–3+ years, or
AA/AS/Technical School with 4–8+ years
Strong SolidWorks/CAD proficiency (required)

Experience with quality tools, measurement equipment, and basic inspection
Welding/fabrication experience a plus
Project management experience beneficial
