Responsibilities
Drafting and responding to pleadings
Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy
Drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions
Taking and defending depositions
Leading or substantially participating in mediations and trials
Mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating with litigation teams
Qualification
Required
5+ years of defense-side complex litigation experience
Significant experience handling complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
Drafting and responding to pleadings
Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy
Drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions
Taking and defending depositions
Leading or substantially participating in mediations and trials
Mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating with litigation teams
Admission to the Florida Bar is required
Excellent academic credentials
Advanced writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
The ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment
A collaborative mindset, empathy for teammates, and a strong commitment to client service
Initiative, sound judgment, adaptability, and leadership presence
Interest in business development and long-term practice growth
Preferred
Experience with wage-and-hour litigation
Counseling clients on wage-and-hour compliance
Managing Department of Labor investigations
