Senior Fund Accountant

Delta Dallas is a growing private equity firm seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to support fund accounting and management company accounting. This role involves hands-on exposure to fund operations, audits, tax review, investor reporting, and process improvement, while collaborating closely with the firm's leadership.

Responsibilities

Support quarterly fund reporting and monthly management company reporting
Assist with capital calls, distributions, allocations, and cash reconciliations
Ensure accurate invoice coding between funds and the management company
Review cash activity, reconcile accounts, and support audit readiness
Manage the relationship with the fund administrator (Standish)
Work within QuickBooks Online for management company accounting
Assist with tax reporting and compliance, including review of work prepared by external providers (PwC)
Support annual audits and K-1 preparation, with primary delivery in March
Learn and support tax review processes under the guidance of the CFO
Assist with investor onboarding, including subscription documents, KYC/AML, and coordination with the fund administrator
Support investor communications and respond to routine inquiries
Assist with capital call notices and investor reporting
Support fundraising efforts through preparation of investor presentations, pitch decks, and marketing materials
Design, document, and enhance accounting and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen controls and workflows as the firm scales

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - REQUIRED
Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience (junior-to-mid level role)
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (GL, month-end close, financial statements, journal entries, debits/credits)
Experience with fund structures, partnership accounting, capital calls, distributions, and waterfalls
Strong Excel skills; advanced proficiency preferred
Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus

Preferred

CPA highly preferred or willingness to pursue CPA
Big 4 experience welcomed, particularly with fund audit or private equity clients
