Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies for global licensing and partnering deals to deliver strong business outcomes aligned with corporate goals
Lead deal sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, negotiation, and execution for major out-licensing transactions focused on innovative oncology programs
Conduct scientific, commercial, and financial assessments to support partnership decisions and portfolio prioritization
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new BD opportunities to expand the company’s global footprint and strengthen brand presence
Present scientific, clinical, commercial, and financial rationale for partnership proposals to senior management and executive leadership
Support the development of the company’s BD strategy, long-term vision, and business plans for major partnership initiatives
Work closely with R&D, clinical development, regulatory, finance, portfolio management, and senior executives to align on deal terms and strategic priorities
Lead or participate in strategic initiatives including licensing, M&A, joint ventures, co-development, and other strategic alliances
Ensure seamless coordination and communication across internal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle
Represent the company at partnering meetings, biopharma conferences, investor events, and industry forums
Build and maintain strong relationships with the global pharmaceutical, biotech, investment, and scientific communities
Enhance the company’s visibility and credibility among potential partners and key decision makers

Qualification

Required

PhD in Life Sciences strongly preferred; experience in consulting is a plus
20+ years of international business development experience, ideally with major multinational pharmaceutical companies
Demonstrated track record of identifying, evaluating, and negotiating high-value BD transactions; oncology experience strongly preferred
Deep understanding of drug discovery, pipeline assessment, portfolio valuation, and financial modeling relevant to strategic transactions
Strong network and ability to reach and influence senior executives at global pharmaceutical and biotech companies
Proven ability to establish credibility with internal and external scientific, clinical, and business stakeholders
Strong scientific orientation with understanding of the full drug development, regulatory, and commercialization lifecycle
Highly driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to push deals forward and deliver high-quality outcomes
Strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate complex alternatives and propose clear recommendations
