Responsibilities

Provide technical and paralegal services on a part-time basis for Midlands Technical College's General Counsel
Provide legal support including drafting legal documents
Preparing correspondence
Updating calendars
Assisting with Freedom of Information Act responses
Active involvement in the Title IX process
Serve as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator
Cross-trained as a Title IX Advisor and/or Investigator

Qualification

Required

A high school diploma and experience in providing administrative support for an attorney(s) or a legal office

Preferred

A paralegal degree and/or certificate

Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures
Knowledge of Title IX, relevant laws and regulations
Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize tasks
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public and co-workers orally and in writing
