This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting vendor relationships, and driving process improvements across the accounts payable function.

Responsibilities
Oversee timely and accurate processing of vendor payments in alignment with established terms
Maximize opportunities for prompt‑pay discounts
Research and resolve aged items
Process vendor credits and reconcile intercompany activity
Maintain organized, compliant financial documentation
Identify missing taxes on invoices and submit details for tax reporting
Support internal and external audit requests
Ensure supplier payments are applied correctly and consistently
Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and address issues
Prepare annual 1099 forms and maintain updated W‑9 records
Initiate ACH and wire payments as needed
Manage vendor master data setup and updates
Prepare and review AP account reconciliations
Evaluate expenses to determine capitalization eligibility
Track outstanding checks and complete unclaimed property requirements
Process and code employee expense reports for GL integration
Strengthen internal controls and uphold procedural standards
Create, monitor, and report on AP performance metrics (KPIs)
Partner with cross‑functional teams—including Purchasing—to streamline processes
Take on additional responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands‑on Accounts Payable experience
At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
Experience with SAP is required
Preferred
Associate degree in Accounting preferred
