Responsibilities
The Trademark Manager supports the Trademark Practice and leadership to ensure timely delivery of service to Jones Day’s trademark clients
The Trademark Manager manages the workflow of associated support staff, relationship development with internal and external clients, business analytics, project management, and problem solving
The Manager must be innovative, have a growth mindset, good communication skills, and current knowledge of industry best practices
The Manager must have intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office applications and must be organized, detailed oriented, deadline driven, and execute at a high level of proficiency
The Manager possesses strong client focus, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
Also the ability to professionally work with many different types of personalities at all levels within the firm is essential
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in trademarks, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role
Demonstrate leadership and management abilities that foster collaborative working relationships and a positive team atmosphere
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
Working knowledge of IP docketing procedures, as well as USPTO and international rules and procedures
Advanced organization, problem solving and project management skills
Strong knowledge of current industry best practices
Strong multi-tasking skills; operate with a sense of urgency
Possess strong client focus, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
Proactively communicate across teams and management consistently while maintaining confidentiality
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels
Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office applications
