Responsibilities
Own and scale the organisation’s global cyber security, information security and enterprise IT programmes
Safeguard the platform, internal systems and customers while enabling the business to grow securely and in line with regulatory and compliance expectations
Define the security posture and lead key compliance initiatives
Oversee IT operations and work closely with Engineering, DevOps, Product, Legal and external auditors
Qualification
Required
Seven or more years of experience in cyber security, information security or IT security leadership
Proven experience building and operating security programmes in cloud native start up or scale up environments
Hands on ownership of compliance initiatives inc SOC 2 Type II and other regulated security frameworks
Strong understanding of security governance aligned with NIST frameworks and industry best practice
Experience securing modern cloud environments such as AWS or GCP, including IAM, encryption, logging and monitoring
Experience managing enterprise IT systems, SaaS tooling, access controls and device security
Ability to balance long term security strategy with practical, hands on execution
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders
Eligibility to hold a US security clearance
Preferred
Active US security clearance
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or equivalent
Experience supporting customers with elevated security or compliance requirements
Background leading audits, risk assessments and remediation activities
Familiarity with zero trust architectures and secure software development practices
Experience scaling security and IT functions within fast growing organisations
