Post Doctoral Associate- Dr. Zachary Will's Lab
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Neurobiology to study dendritic spine dynamics in development, learning, and disease. The role involves establishing in vivo spine imaging approaches while mice engage in learning tasks, and developing independent projects relevant to imaging spines in vivo in mice.

Responsibilities
Establish in vivo spine imaging approaches in cortex
Track changes in spines in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease models
Carry out ongoing research projects
Develop independent projects relevant to imaging spines in vivo in mice
Regularly interact with the neuroscience research community at Pitt and CMU
Participate in neuroscience seminars, retreats, etc
Qualification
Required
PhD in Neuroscience, Engineering, or other relevant fields
Demonstrated skill in vivo imaging (especially 2-photon imaging)
Cranial window surgery
Mouse husbandry
Candidates must be a US citizen, a permanent US resident, or possess a US work permit
Preferred
Experience and a publication record in neural circuit imaging in vivo
Experience in synaptic biology or rodent learning
