Sourcing Methodology (SMO) Analyst
Cook Systems has an immediate need for a Sourcing Methodology (SMO) Analyst. The role involves acting as an IT sourcing subject matter expert, conducting spend analysis, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring compliance with corporate contracting standards.
Responsibilities
Acts as an IT sourcing subject matter expert using the Sourcing Methodology for the planning, due diligence, contract negotiations, and governance process for IT spend
Conducts spend analysis, identifies opportunities, coordinates and collaborates with internal stakeholders on complex sourcing events and leads key initiatives
Ensures adherence to corporate contracting standards and policies
Develops robust sourcing strategies to maximize value and minimize risk
Solicits / analyzes request for proposals; negotiates contracts and collaborates with Legal Department on contract terms and contract execution
Establish a supplier relationship management process focused on continuous improvement
Monitors market dynamics and communicate changes to internal stakeholders
Contributes to new supplier selection process and developing and maintaining supplier relationships
Serves as the primary point of contact to assigned business units for sourcing needs
Monitor the financial and market performance of the suppliers to identify potential supplier viability risks, communicate the risks to stakeholders and develop a risk mitigation action plan in conjunction with IT Strategy
Look for opportunity to optimize supplier spend and value by combining, terminating or extending contracts according to organizational objectives
Regularly review contracts with organizational stakeholders to ensure pricing models, usage, and service levels are current and optimized and that the supplier adheres to all terms and conditions
Responsible for continuous quality, service, satisfaction and cost from suppliers to support efficient business operations
Responsible for working with subject matter experts to gather and assess business requirements
Maintains a high degree of confidentiality specific to ITS data (including budget) and contract terms/ conditions and ITS related organization planning
Qualification
Required
Must have excellent written communication skills to effectively and accurately convey detailed and complex information regarding contract specifications, policies and procedures to consultants/contractors and internal clients
3+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing
Proven experience supporting complex sourcing events, RFP processes, and contract negotiations
Experience working with IT vendors, technology contracts
Preferred
Prior experience supporting enterprise‑level sourcing or procurement transformation initiatives preferred
