Responsibilities

Develop and execute production plans and schedules to optimize manufacturing efficiency, minimize lead times, and meet customer delivery requirements
Develop and maintain capacity models to be used in current planning, and future strategic planning
Collaborate with sales, operations, procurement, and engineering teams to understand demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels to develop production plans that balance supply and demand
Utilize advanced planning tools and software to forecast production requirements, plan capacity, and allocate resources effectively
Analyze production data, including production output, cycle times, and equipment utilization, to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
Coordinate with production teams to prioritize and schedule production orders based on customer requirements, production capacity, and resource availability
Monitor and track production progress against the production plan, identify potential bottlenecks or delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery
Work closely with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components to support production schedules and minimize inventories
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new processes, technologies, and equipment to improve production efficiency and capacity
Develop and maintain production planning policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with quality and safety standards
Stay informed about industry trends, developments, and best practices in production planning and supply chain management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations management, or a related field
2 years proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations, preferably in a highly automated manufacturing environment or startup company
Strong understanding of production planning principles, lean manufacturing concepts, and supply chain management
Proficiency in production planning software and tools, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, and advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
Strong understanding of SIOP processes, and LEAN manufacturing concepts for material flow
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred

Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CPIM)
SAP experience is a plus
