2+ years expApetan Consulting LLC is seeking a Hardware Testing Engineer to support hands-on validation, testing, and debugging of hardware systems in a lab environment. This role focuses on board-level and system-level testing, lab operations, and hardware bring-up activities.

Responsibilities
Assemble, build, and install bench-top development platforms and large server systems
Prepare boards for detailed solder rework (performed by a separate lab)
Connect oscilloscope probes to boards and collect signal waveform data
Perform mechanical reworks using power tools (e.g., Dremel)
Execute system tests, collect results, and report findings
Screen modules and boards as part of validation testing and debugging
Support lab shipping & receiving logistics and manage equipment/material inventory
Maintain and organize lab equipment to improve efficiency and processes
Qualification
Required
Diploma, Certification, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics or testing lab environment, including:
Silicon bring-up
Board-level design/validation
System design/validation
Fundamental knowledge of computing architectures
Hands-on hardware/software debugging experience
Experience using Linux command line
Solid system-level debugging skills and familiarity with board bring-up and customer support
Strong attention to detail with clear written and verbal communication skills
