Responsibilities
Maintain the general ledger for private equity and/or venture capital funds in accordance with GAAP
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly NAV calculations
Support portfolio company valuations, including coordination with valuation teams and third-party specialists
Calculate and review management fees, carried interest, and distribution waterfalls
Track and reconcile capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for audits and tax filings
Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors
Support investor reporting, including capital account statements and performance metrics
Assist with process improvements, system implementations, and documentation of controls
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within private equity or venture capital
Strong understanding of fund structures, capital accounts, and waterfall mechanics
Familiarity with GAAP and private fund reporting standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Proficiency in Excel
Preferred
Experience with valuations of illiquid investments
Experience with fund accounting systems is a plus
