Responsibilities
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including P&L and balance sheet reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting activities and provide operational reporting as needed
Maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide required documentation
Partner with Operations and Logistics teams to monitor costs, inventory, and performance metrics
Assist with cash flow management, banking activity, and working capital reporting
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, supporting team development and performance
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounting workflows
Ensure compliance with sales/use tax filings and other applicable reporting requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting tools)
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume, fast-moving environment
Preferred
Experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or warehousing environments
