L&M Transportation Services is seeking a Logistics Account Specialist to maintain and grow strong relationships with customers. The role involves executing shipments effectively while ensuring compliance with systems and procedures, as well as building proactive relationships to enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with dry freight customers
Negotiate competitive rates with both customers and carriers to secure cost-effective freight solutions
Monitor and manage carrier capacity to ensure on-time service
Quickly address and resolve any shipment issues
Collaborate with internal sales and operations teams to align carrier solutions with customer and shipment requirements
Stay current on industry trends, market rates, and capacity shifts
Utilize MercuryGate TMS and HubSpot CRM for daily operations

Required

High school diploma / GED required
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate L&M Transportation's value proposition and differentiate our services through professional presentation and communication
Ability to analyze market trends and develop capacity strategies
Skilled in carrier and customer acquisition, relationship building, and rate negotiation
Experienced in load booking, crisis management, and shipment recovery
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
2+ years of experience in logistics or a transportation-related field
