Responsibilities
Provide analytical/statistical support, such as marketing test/metrics design, projection, and marketing insights to clients and stakeholders
Mine large consumer datasets in the cloud environment to support ad hoc business and statistical analysis
Develop strategies and provide analytical/statistical support for external data source evaluation, modeling products, and third-party data QA
Assist in providing market research analytics, working with the marketing outreach core team to define data publishing scope, develop hypotheses, and execute the plan
Research, identify, and leverage anecdotal or systematic public and or third-party data sources (e.g., census business surveys, MRTS, e-commerce data, national payment trends, consumer spend, retail store opening and closing data, retailer M&A, etc.) to facilitate fact checking or comparison of brand/category sales and trends with the internal data source
Assist development and improvement of the company’s data balancing and paneling capabilities to support various use cases
Provide support for other analytical/statistical requirements for business initiatives as needed
Develop and improve automation capabilities that enable customized delivery of the analytical products to clients
Communicate methodologies and results to management, clients, and non-technical stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Advanced degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Science/Economics or other field that requires advanced training in statistical reasoning and data modeling
Proficiency in advanced Excel and one or more programming languages, preferably Python/PySpark or R for business data modeling and analytics
Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redshift, or related database technology; experience with SQL
Experience with Tableau and/or other data visualization applications
Experience with non-relational databases (e.g., Hive) and the Cloud/Clean room environments (e.g., AWS and SNOWFLAKE)
Demonstrated skill in conceptualizing a business problem and crafting practical solutions for it
Strong and practical experience in experimental design, sampling strategy, data modeling, projection, and normalization
Flexibility and productivity in a wide range of data analytics areas
Preferred
Industry experience in classification, regression, and time series modeling a plus
Experience or exposure to large consumer and/or demographic data sets and familiarity with data manipulation and cleaning routines and techniques highly preferred
