Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of U.S. anti-money laundering laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Patriot Act, OFAC requirements, and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) guidelines
Conduct AML investigations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and risk standards
Perform account and transaction reviews to identify unusual activity, potential money laundering, or terrorist financing risks
Complete background research as required to support investigations
Investigate cases across multiple business lines, including complex or higher-risk activity
Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed investigation narratives with supporting documentation
Identify trends or patterns that may indicate financial crime and escalate concerns when appropriate
Meet daily productivity and quality expectations
Follow established procedures and compliance guidelines at all times
Stay current on regulatory updates through training, publications, and compliance resources
Use sound judgment to analyze issues, resolve standard cases, and escalate non-routine matters
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least 2-3 year of experience in financial crimes compliance or AML investigations
Hands-on experience writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
Ability to work Eastern Time (EST) hours
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred
