They are seeking a Principal for the Education Department at Allen Correctional Center in Kinder, LA, responsible for administering rehabilitative educational programs and overseeing the teaching staff.

Responsibilities

Administer ALC’s rehabilitative programs such as the HiSET program, Literacy Program, Adult Basic Education Program, and Vocational-Technical Programs
Oversee, direct, develop and implement these programs
Responsibility for entire education program including literacy, HiSet, and all vocational-technical programs and correspondence courses
Supervising teaching staff and teacher's aides
Administrative decisions including curriculum and classroom allotment
ACA documentation for education programming
Training seminars for tutors and staff
Hiring and discipline of staff

Qualification

Louisiana Teacher's CertificateProvisional Principal CertificationEducational programmingCurriculum designBudget controlStrategic planningStaff supervisionTraining seminars

Required

Current and valid Louisiana Teacher's Certificate with Provisional Principal Certification
Experience in administration
Experience in strategic planning
Experience in educational programming
Experience in curriculum design, development, and implementation
Experience in budget and expense control
