Responsibilities
Full-cycle accounting for multifamily and affordable housing properties
Review and reconcile third‑party property manager financials
Track GP/LP activity, fees, releases, and investor reporting
Monitor intercompany loans, transactions, and reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support audits, tax prep, surplus cash calculations, and workpaper packages
Manage construction draws, CIP activity, loan transactions, and bank reconciliations
Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Support transitions from development to operations and ensure GAAP compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3–7 years of accounting experience
Strong GAAP knowledge, financial statement prep, and audit coordination
Experience with accounting software
Advanced Excel skills
Collaborative, assertive communicator; strong attention to detail
Mission-driven, with a commitment to affordable housing
Preferred
CPA/CMA preferred
real estate, LIHTC, multifamily, or affordable housing strongly preferred
Sage Intacct a plus
