Responsibilities

Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations using simple hand tools while working under moderate supervision
Exercise autonomy to complete daily work assignments and provide input on methods and approaches for new tasks
Set up and assemble parts by accurately following procedures, routings, and work instructions
Ensure all products meet quality standards with zero defects and are completed on time to meet customer deadlines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for tools, materials, and equipment
Schedule and assign welding work to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production
Utilize Excel to manage schedules, track job status, and facilitate shop-floor planning
Comply with all company policies, including Environmental Health & Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Quality Systems requirements
Participate in audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost-reduction activities as required
Communicate work progress, quality concerns, and issues to leads or supervisors in a timely manner
Acquire required skills, knowledge, and certifications to support personal growth and department objectives
Consistently follow EH&S policies, wear required PPE, attend required training, and report unsafe conditions or practices

Required

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Preferred

0–1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience
Career Readiness Certification (CRC) strongly preferred
Successful completion of training modules associated with job grade
Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and perform repetitive tasks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Basic to intermediate computer skills (typing, screen navigation, learning new systems)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated teamwork, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to take direction from experienced coworkers, leads, and supervisors
