Responsibilities
Works as part of a team responsible to maintain the general ledger and records of mutual funds of varying complexity and producing end of day net asset value calculation
Prepares daily general ledger accounting, prime broker/bank cash reconciliations, advisor/portfolio management processing, corporate action application, expense accrual/payment postings, daily net asset value and mill rate determinations, portfolio pricing analysis/validations, timely internal/external information distributions, portfolio reconciliations, etc
Partners with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies and prime brokers/custodian relationships collaborating on compliance, audit and financials, while ensuring all Fund Accounting functions are in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in either accounting or finance
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products, namely Microsoft Excel
Experience with utilizing a database
Ability to maintain the general ledger and records of mutual funds of varying complexity
Ability to produce end of day net asset value calculation
Ability to prepare daily general ledger accounting
Ability to perform prime broker/bank cash reconciliations
Ability to process advisor/portfolio management
Ability to apply corporate actions
Ability to post expense accruals/payments
Ability to determine daily net asset value and mill rate
Ability to conduct portfolio pricing analysis/validations
Ability to distribute timely internal/external information
Ability to perform portfolio reconciliations
Ability to collaborate with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies, and prime brokers/custodian relationships
Ability to ensure all Fund Accounting functions are in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles
