Assistant Director, Campus Event Services Operations

Responsibilities
Lead event operations for the Student Union Campus Event Services team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and seamless execution across multiple Union+ facilities
Supervise and develop full-time and student staff, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and professional growth opportunities
Coordinate event planning, logistics, and billing through the Mazevo system, facilitating weekly planning meetings and client walkthroughs
Oversee event setups, A/V services, and technical support, staying current with industry trends and equipment advancements
Manage event-related inventory, budgets, and revenue goals, ensuring proper maintenance, storage, and replacement of equipment
Collaborate with campus partners and clients to plan and deliver high-quality events that meet needs and enhance the campus experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to academic and/or student services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of related experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
Preferred
Extensive knowledge of A/V operations
Knowledge in risk management, accessibility, and safety
Ability to relate well with student groups and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Proven success building strong partnerships and forming collaborative efforts with students, staff, and faculty
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Will be expected to teach transferrable skills in organization/delegation, organizing meetings, and ethical decision making
