Responsibilities
Log and sample soils encountered in exploratory borings, fault trenches, and test pits
Prepare soil boring logs
Field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregate, asphalt and concrete
Coordinate permit acquisition and subcontractor coordination for subsurface field investigations
Entry level engineering tasks
Assist in performing geophysical surveys, distressed building evaluations, and field mapping
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering
Valid California drivers' license
Clean driving record
Vehicle for use to travel to various sites
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
Ability to work outside in varied climates and topographic conditions
Flexibility to work on a range of diverse projects
Positive attitude
Willingness to learn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety
