Responsibilities

Lead the design, creation, and ongoing refinement of the Architects & Engineers E&O product offering, ensuring competitive positioning and alignment with company strategy
Drive production goals by leveraging a strong network of wholesale brokers and building new relationships
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale brokers to drive submissions and new business opportunities
Oversee risk selection, pricing, and policy construction
Represent the company at industry events and meetings Act as the face of the product line and the company in front of brokers, clients, and other key stakeholders
Guide, mentor, and develop junior underwriters and team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth

Required

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Professional Liability underwriting, with a focus on Architects & Engineers E&O
Strong existing network of wholesale brokers with demonstrated ability to drive production
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding new business and renewal goals
Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset
This role requires 25%+ travel to engage with brokers and attend industry events. The ideal candidate should have the availability and motivation to travel
Strong understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment within Professional Liability, particularly in the Architects & Engineers E&O space
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions for complex underwriting challenges
Highly organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field

Preferred

Experience in product development and launch is highly preferred
Advanced certifications such as CPCU, RPLU, or ARM are a plus
