Responsibilities
Supervise and direct general laborers on daily assignments
Plan crew tasks, assign labor, track hours, and ensure quality work output
Coordinate with facility managers, supervisors, and other craft foremen
Ensure work complies with safety policies and contract performance standards
Report progress and issues, request materials and support as needed
Qualification
Required
Rounded training and experience in general labor activities
Responsibility for planning, coordinating, and directing the work of assigned personnel
Demonstrate leadership and crew management abilities
In-depth knowledge of general labor tasks and safety requirements
Ability to read work orders and implement task directives
Experience in construction or facilities support environments
Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access
Applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in awkward positions to access work areas
The use of hand and power tools and equipment associated with the position
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
Wear and properly use required PPE for all assigned tasks
