Instrumentation Systems Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, build, characterize, and document innovative proof-of-concept designs for high-speed test and measurement systems
Conduct RF/mmWave signal chain analysis, circuit/system modeling, and system performance evaluation for automated testing of semiconductor devices
Develop technical collateral, including application notes, articles, reference designs, and tradeshow demonstrations, showcasing instrument-grade performance of ADI’s products and signal chains
Solve our customers’ system-level problems by providing elegant options that are proven through detailed modeling and hands-on measurements in a state-of-the-art test and measurement lab
Act as a technical liaison between customers, marketing, design, and development teams to translate system-level requirements into component-level specifications to tailor existing or new products to suit our customers’ present and emerging needs
Qualification
Required
Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Computer Science, BS degree with 15 years of experience, MS degree with 10 years of experience
Results-oriented and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation, and communication skills
Knowledge and experience of high-speed, RF, and mmWave system level design and proficiency with system level design tools like MATLAB, Simulink, Keysight ADS, SystemVue
In-depth understanding of analog and high-speed mixed signal design fundamentals
Demonstrated working experience in Python, MATLAB, and C/C++ software programming
Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment, such vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, real time oscilloscopes, and signal generators
Experience with FPGAs, DSPs, and embedded systems
