Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) Technician - Hybrid Remote
Akima is a federal facilities contractor that supports shareholder communities in Alaska. They are seeking a DPAS Technician to develop logistics strategies, manage risks, and enhance workflow related to inventory and distribution.

Responsibilities
Develops logistics strategies and recommends changes to processes to keep programs ahead of schedule
Assesses, manages and works to reduce risk factors
Enhances workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory
Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost
Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates
Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports
Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers. Performs work under direct supervision
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
Qualification
Required
Must have a minimum of an associate's degree (i.e. in Financial Management, Program Management or Logistics field
Minimum 5 years of combined experience with DOD or other federal agency in Financial Management, Program Management and Logistics
Minimum 2 years' experience as a program/project lead supporting implementation and sustainment
Minimum one year experience operating in a Logistics Information System (LIS)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must have an Active Secret Clearance
Preferred
Prefer one year SOF experience with knowledge of USSOCOM enterprise, subordinate organizations, and Service roles and responsibilities
