Responsibilities

Gather, define, and document business needs across departments for new or enhanced system capabilities
Translate user input into structured requirements, user stories, or functional specifications
Partner with Application Solutions staff (e.g., Solutions Architect, Clinical Informatics Analyst, Data Analysts) to co-design solutions that align with both system capabilities and business goals
Validate technical feasibility and integration points with relevant teams
Map current-state workflows and identify inefficiencies, workarounds, or risks
Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend technology-enabled solutions
Collaborate in the development and execution of test plans, including user acceptance testing
Ensure implemented solutions meet documented business and functional requirements
Create user guides, process diagrams, and training materials to support successful adoption of solutions
Maintain documentation of decisions, change requests, and project scope throughout the lifecycle
Serve as a liaison between clinical operations, quality, data, and IT stakeholders
Facilitate workshops or one-on-one sessions to explore pain points and emerging needs
Contribute to application governance by supporting role design, permissions, and workflow controls
Participate in governance committees or cross-functional workgroups as needed
Monitor solution performance post-implementation and gather user feedback to inform iterative improvements
Support change management, training, and stakeholder alignment efforts during solution rollouts
Triage and investigate workflow-related support tickets
Review and analyze IT tickets involving user confusion, unexpected system behavior, or process misalignment
Engage with users to understand how they are interacting with the system and identify potential training or process issues

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of business analysis experience in healthcare, clinical systems, or technology-driven operations
Experience supporting system testing, data validation, or user support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and clinical audiences
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with clinical systems, ticketing tools, project management software with proficiency with documentation tools such as Lucidchart or Visio
Strong understanding of business analysis methods and the software development lifecycle (e.g., SDLC, Agile)
Ability to elicit and document both functional and non-functional requirements while acting as a translator between end users and technical teams
Strong understanding of workflows and system configurations with the ability to interpret how application settings and workflows align with processes
Skilled in facilitating meetings and workshops to align stakeholders and validate needs
Comfortable working across clinical, operational, and technical domains
Understanding of data governance and workflow governance best practices
Comfortable working with IT, application support, and end users to resolve issues and recommend improvements

Preferred

Experience using or supporting EMRs such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other clinical systems
Exposure to health data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) or healthcare interoperability concepts
Change management experience within healthcare settings
