Responsibilities
Define and articulate the product vision roadmap and priorities for insurance digital products
Convert business goals into actionable themes features and user stories
Conduct market and competitor analysis relevant to PC Insurance Auto Home Commercial Specialty
Create refine and prioritize product backlog items PBIs
Ensure user stories have clear acceptance criteria and meet Definition of Ready DoR
Continuously groom backlog based on business needs customer feedback and compliance requirements
Engage with business stakeholders Underwriting Claims Billing Actuarial Policy Service
Lead requirement workshops JAD sessions and sprint planning discussions
Translate complex insurance workflows into functional system behavior
Work with Scrum Master and Agile teams for sprint planning estimation reviews and retrospectives
Provide daily clarifications to developers testers and architects
Approve sprint deliverables and ensure incremental value delivery
Deep understanding of PC insurance lifecycle
Policy issuance endorsements renewals cancellations
Claims FNOL adjudication subrogation reserving
Billing invoicing payments delinquency collections
Act as primary liaison between business and technical teams
Present product updates to leadership and customers
Manage expectations risks dependencies and release planning
Ensure features adhere to regulatory legal and audit requirements
Collaborate with QA to validate acceptance criteria and test coverage
Support UAT planning and execution
Qualification
Required
6 to 12 years of experience in the Insurance domain PC preferred
3 years as a Product Owner Business Analyst or similar role
Strong understanding of Agile Scrum SAFe
Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenterBillingCenterClaimCenter preferred
Ability to create highquality user stories process flows and functional specs
JIRA Azure DevOps
Confluence
Process modeling BPMN Visio or Lucidchart
Understanding of APIIntegration concepts
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation
Strong analytical and problemsolving ability
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Ability to operate independently and manage complex requirements
Leadership in crossfunctional teams

CSPO Certified Scrum Product Owner
PSPO I II
Guidewire Certifications if working in GW ecosystem
AINS CPCU or equivalent insurance certifications added advantage
