Director of Finance

International Code Council is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as a senior finance leader and trusted partner to the Chief Financial Officer. This role involves supporting enterprise-wide financial management, planning, analysis, and reporting, while also playing a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.

Responsibilities

Participate in the annual budgeting process and multi-year financial planning in close partnership with the CFO
Develop rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, and financial models to support strategic and operational decisions
Ensure alignment between strategic objectives, operating plans, and financial outcomes
Provide timely, actionable financial analysis and insights to the CFO, executive leadership, and department leaders
Analyze variances, trends, and key drivers of performance across revenue, expenses, and margins
Support business cases for new initiatives, investments, pricing, and organizational changes
Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations
Support Board, Audit, Investment, Budget Committees, and leadership reporting with clear, accurate, and well structured financial dashboards and narratives
Establish and refine KPIs and performance metrics aligned with organizational priorities
Partner closely with Accounting to ensure accurate, timely financial close and reporting
Support internal controls, financial policies, and audit readiness in coordination with the CFO and Controller
Assist with implementation and optimization of financial systems, processes, and reporting tools
Serve as a finance business partner to department leaders, helping them understand financial performance and make informed decisions
Collaborate with HR on workforce planning, compensation analysis, and employment cost management
Work with IT, Operations, and Product teams on system implementations, data quality, and analytics
Lead or support enterprise wide initiatives such as system implementations, organizational changes, acquisitions, and integration efforts
Conduct ad hoc analyses and prepare executive level materials as requested by the CFO
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
10+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, or corporate finance roles
Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting
Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision making

Preferred

CPA, CFA, or MBA
Experience in complex, multi entity organizations
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
