They are seeking a part-time Intern - Bachelor's Candidate to support the Immunization Project through research activities focused on acute respiratory illness and gastroenteritis, while also enhancing their communication skills and medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

Prepares and assists with special projects for the department leadership and/or project sponsor by agreed-upon deadlines
Meets with families and children to explain Immunization Research Projects and gain buy in to participation
Collect patient history and survey information
Collects lab specimen samples as required
Willing to travel to different Texas Children's Pediatric Clinics and work on Main Medical Campus in locations as assigned
Completes comprehensive analysis as assigned
Attends other regularly scheduled and required meetings as appropriate (e.g., standing committees, ad hoc committees, meetings specific to current internship, project meetings)

Qualification

Healthcare experienceBilingual in SpanishCommunication skillsPatient interactionResearch support

Required

Required enrollment in a bachelor's program
Must be able to commit to position for a minimum of 1 year

Preferred

Preferred healthcare experience
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
