Responsibilities
Manage all electrical aspects of data center construction projects from preconstruction through turnover
Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control for electrical scopes of work
Lead coordination with general contractors, owners, engineers, and commissioning teams
Manage electrical field teams, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure quality and productivity
Oversee procurement of major electrical equipment, including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, busway, and cabling
Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contract compliance
Ensure electrical installations comply with drawings, specifications, NEC, local codes, and project standards
Coordinate closely with mechanical and controls teams to support integrated system delivery
Identify risks and proactively resolve issues related to cost, schedule, and constructability
Support system testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities
Enforce jobsite safety standards and company safety policies
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of experience in electrical construction project management
Strong data center or mission-critical project experience required
Experience working for an electrical contractor managing large-scale electrical scopes
In-depth knowledge of power distribution systems, including medium voltage, low voltage, UPS, generators, and grounding
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, labor productivity, and subcontractor performance
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Proficiency with construction and project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, Accubid, etc.)
Preferred
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Experience on hyperscale data center projects or multi-building campuses
Professional certifications such as PMP, NICET, or equivalent (a plus, not required)
