Responsibilities
Oversees long‑range capital project initiatives from initial concept to early design, ensuring they are ready for seamless handoff to the delivery organization
Partners with diverse internal groups to establish clear project parameters, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource strategy
Leads the development of project frameworks, feasibility studies, business cases, and early‑phase execution strategies
Provides ongoing direction to project teams on governance standards, reporting expectations, budgeting, scheduling, change management, compliance, and safety culture
Manages all aspects of financial planning for assigned projects, including budget governance, forecasting, accrual tracking, and payment oversight
Ensures accuracy and transparency in financial reporting across the project portfolio
Identifies potential risks early and works to update risk registers, helping free up contingency funds when appropriate so they can be reallocated to other priorities
Builds alignment between Strategy, Facilities, Occupancy Planning, and other key teams such as Operations, IT, and Corporate Security
Serves as a trusted liaison for business sponsors, ensuring expectations are clear and commitments are met
May function as the primary CRESS point of contact for specific business units—supporting the planning, communication, and delivery of both short‑ and long‑term real estate and workplace strategies
Contributes to the creation of site‑wide plans, determining needed space types, amenities, technologies, and security design elements
Helps shape target value designs that reflect workplace standards and employee experience goals
Applies best practices in design, sustainability, construction delivery, and total cost of ownership
Oversees external consultants and third‑party partners engaged in project execution
Provides informal leadership and guidance to other internal teams, ensuring alignment throughout all project stages
Champions new ideas, process enhancements, and standardization opportunities
Serves as a high‑level problem solver, addressing complex challenges and identifying forward‑thinking solutions
Supports broader real estate strategy, including efforts to streamline operations, consolidate sites, and optimize portfolio performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
At least 8 years of experience in real estate, corporate services, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related areas
Preferred
MCR (Master of Corporate Real Estate) certification
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification or similar credential
Graduate-level education in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline
