They are seeking a Summer 2026 Intern - Structural Dynamics Engineer to perform structural dynamic analysis on spacecraft and lunar vehicles, contributing to various NASA human spaceflight programs.

Responsibilities
Perform finite element model checks, dynamic model reductions, coupled loads analysis, interpret results, and communicate results to peers and management
Perform dynamic analyses using commercial and in-house codes, write new simulation scripts and code, typically with Python, as needed
Perform vibroacoustic analysis on finite element models in preparation for acoustic and random vibration tests
Identify critical modes for a component or integrated system
Review and process modal and structural data (analytical and test)
Develop and/or review test plans and procedures, documenting test results
Perform signal processing on analytical and/or test data
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited university
Completed at least 45 credit hours
Minimum of 2.8 GPA
Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering student
Coursework: Statics, Dynamics
Working knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or C/C++
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience with desktop software applications, MS Office is required
Preferred
Working toward a BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Coursework: Finite Element Analysis, Linear Algebra, Structural Dynamics, Vibrations, Signal Processing, Data Analysis and Reporting, Structural Analysis
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Experience coding/scripting with Python, MATLAB, or C/C++
Experience using FEA software and a pre/post-processor
Experience with Unix/Linux
Familiarity with version control methods such as GitLab or GitHub
