Sr. Director, Sales

B&G Foods Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director of Sales to play a key leadership role in driving sales growth and achieving profitability objectives. The individual will lead a team responsible for managing the Kroger retail business and will work closely with the SVP Field Sales to develop and implement customer-specific plans.

Responsibilities

Partner with the SVP Field Sales to achieve the revenue, share, and profit growth objectives in the assigned accounts
Develop and implement the right customer-specific plans for accounts in a manner that is not disruptive to the balance of the market
Lead a team of salespersons and analysts
Provide recommendations on the optimal manner of 'going to market' at the customer level
Lead the execution of plans to establish and maintain deep and lasting relationships with customers
Assure the right people are in place to drive the consistent accomplishment of this goal
Track and report on the progress of establishing partnerships with customers and achieving sales objectives
Assess and report on the progress made with each customer to ensure the goals are achieved and adjustments are made promptly
Serve as the primary liaison between customers and HQ for all forecasting activities
Maintain forecast models for customers incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from key sources

Required

10+ plus years of consumer packaged goods sales experience across grocery and other channels, Kroger experience is required
Demonstrated experience in both direct and broker sales models
Demonstrated experience in managing critical resources while still growing brands
Demonstrated experience in achieving sales goals
Demonstrated experience in developing collaborative working relationships with the leaders of the commercial leadership team
Must have the ability to lead a sales organization that services customers in multiple distribution channels
Must have excellent presentation skills with sound business acumen
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
