ASSEMBLER I
Geokon Inc is a 100% ESOP company and a leader in Vibrating Wire Technology, focusing on manufacturing instrumentation and data loggers for civil, mining, and structural engineering projects. They are seeking an Assembler I to join their Production team, where the individual will learn to build subassemblies and finished goods under supervision.

Responsibilities
Learn to read, comprehend, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings and work instructions
Perform all work in accordance with time standards while maintaining quality standards and safety procedures
Cable preparation; including stripping, tinning, and labeling
Assemble using hand tools and power tools
Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV and other compounds
Work with various sized materials
Solder and assemble various components
Identify product defects and report to trainer/leader
Handling of sensitive materials and equipment
Maintain equipment and a clean and safe work environment
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Identifies low inventory and communicates appropriate
Set up and use test equipment to record, compile and evaluate data
Assist in other functional areas when/if necessary
Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written
Basic computer skills
Ability to understand quality control principles
Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
Ability to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to keep records of production quantities and time
Ability to work well with others and within a team environment
Willingness to switch tasks frequently when required
Self-motivation skills
High attention to details
Preferred
Soldering experience is desired, but not required
