Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to assess current and future workforce requirements. Develop an understanding of the business, its structure and long-term priorities to anticipate talent needs
Translate business insights into effective sourcing, selection, and workforce planning strategies
Advise leaders on talent availability, market trends, and competitive dynamics
Champion a consistent, candidate-centric hiring experience across all stages of the recruitment process
Ensure timely, transparent communication with candidates and hiring teams
Collaborate with hiring managers to deliver a high-quality interview process
Collaborate with the Director of HR to develop interview guides, questions and assessments based on competencies for each position
Participate in interviews as needed to support consistent evaluation and decision-making
Coach interviewers on effective interviewing and evaluation techniques as needed
Coordinate interview logistics, including scheduling, communication and preparation for candidates and interview teams
Facilitate interview debriefs and provide informed recommendations to guide hiring decision
Build and support a comprehensive early-career and campus recruitment program
Establish and maintain relationships with universities, student organizations, and career centers
Plan and execute on-campus and virtual events to attract emerging talent
Partner with HR and business leaders to deliver a smooth, engaging onboarding experience
Manage onboarding logistics, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with new hires
Prepare offer letters and manage pre-employment processes, including background checks and documentation
Gather and analyze feedback from new hires to enhance the onboarding journey
Assist managers with onboarding after HR orientation as needed, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires after day one
Collaborate with department heads to strengthen current onboarding processes and new hire integration
Manage job postings and maintain accurate, compelling job descriptions for all open roles
Source passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical, niche, and hard-to-fill roles
Develop strong professional networks within the financial services industry
May manage external recruitment partners if needed to support hard-to-fill or executive roles
Prepare offer letters and manage pre-employment processes, including background checks and documentation
Support broader HR initiatives and department needs as a reliable and proactive team resource

Required

5+ years of recruiting experience, ideally within financial services or insurance
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Proven success sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar platforms
Strong business acumen and the ability to learn complex functions quickly
Desire to learn about surety and the technical aspects of open roles to the extent needed to source qualified candidates
Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders and influence hiring decisions
Skilled in delivering a high-quality candidate experience from sourcing through onboarding
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
Ability to use data and insights to guide hiring decisions and strategies
Builds trust with leaders, candidates, and external partners
Thinks strategically about sourcing and workforce planning
Creates consistent, high-quality hiring and onboarding experiences
Enjoys building programs and improving processes
Bring curiosity, initiative and a strong sense of ownership
Strong computer, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to evolving priorities

Preferred

Experience developing or executing on campus/early-career recruitment programs is preferred
Knowledge of Predictive Index (PI) or similar assessment tools is beneficial but not required
