Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - XDU

Responsibilities
Serve as a core functional leader within Global New Product Development (NPD/NPDI) project teams, supporting product launches from concept through production release
Align manufacturing resources and priorities with Global Product Roadmaps and key strategic initiatives to ensure on‑time and cost‑effective execution
Lead cross‑functional coordination and communication across global teams, including: Project Management, Design & Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing and Sales, Supply Chain and Materials Management, Executive and Senior Leadership
Ensure Design for X (DFx) principles (Design for Manufacturability, Testability, Cost, Quality, and Supply Chain) are applied throughout the NPDI lifecycle
Coordinate manufacturing requirements for new product introductions, ensuring readiness from early concept through full production release
Plan, direct, and execute prototype builds and pilot production runs, resolving manufacturing, quality, and supply risks prior to launch
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Materials teams to develop and validate required product documentation, including: Bills of Material (BOMs), Routings and work instructions, Manufacturing specifications and process documentation
Communicate project requirements, risks, milestones, actions, and status to internal stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout NPDI phases
Track and publish NPI deliverables using standardized tools and databases, including: Operations Plans, Manufacturing process flow maps, Production readiness and launch evaluations, Cost analysis, including estimates and standard costing
Define and justify capital expenditure (CapEx) requirements related to new product introductions, including tooling, equipment, and automation investments
Provide functional leadership for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) development and validation, including: Design for Test (DFT) reviews, PCBA In‑Circuit Testing (ICT), Functional Circuit Testing (FCT), End‑of‑line and product functional testing
Lead component qualification and compliance activities, including: Tooling feasibility and readiness analysis, Component quality and reliability evaluation, PQCS / PQCP / PPEP management, Regulatory and compliance verification
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience will be considered
10 + years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering environments, with demonstrated involvement in New Product Development (NPD/NPDI) initiatives
Proven experience working in cross‑functional, project‑based environments, supporting product development from concept through production launch
Strong project management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, risk management, milestone tracking, and execution within complex development programs
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a customer‑focused mindset while balancing technical, cost, and schedule requirements
Solid administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables in fast‑paced environments
Proficiency in PC‑based business and productivity tools, including: Word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations; Project management and collaboration platforms; Data analysis and reporting tools
Experience applying Advanced Manufacturing methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement, in support of scalable and efficient operations
Exposure to or hands‑on experience with Digital / Connected Factory initiatives, including: Manufacturing systems integration; Data‑driven process visibility; Automation, analytics, or smart manufacturing concepts
Experience adopting and leveraging AI‑enabled tools to enhance: Decision‑making and scenario analysis; Manufacturing planning or process optimization; Productivity, documentation, or operational insights
Strong knowledge of New Product Development (NPD/NPDI) and Project Management (PMP) stage‑gate processes, from concept through production release
Demonstrated expertise in busway development and manufacturing processes, or closely related electrical power distribution / infrastructure products, with the ability to translate design intent into scalable production solutions
Strong understanding of Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SC&M) architecture, including materials flow, supplier integration, and manufacturing readiness planning
Working knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, including Digital / Connected Factory ecosystems, automation, and digital twin applications to enhance manufacturability, visibility, and performance
Strong proficiency in project management, including scope definition, schedule management, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional execution within complex development programs
Solid understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, including assembly, inspection, and test considerations
Proven expertise in Design for Manufacturing and Design for X (DFM/DFX) methodologies, including FMEA, Control Plans, and risk‑mitigation practices
Demonstrated experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across development and production environments
Knowledge of parts and commodity management, including supplier strategy, component qualification, and lifecycle considerations
Strong understanding of Product Cost Management, including cost modeling, standard costing, and cost‑reduction initiatives across the product lifecycle
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, for analytics, reporting, and executive‑level communication
Experienced in using structured problem‑solving tools and quality methodologies, such as FMEA, DOE, SPC, and other quality and statistical tools
Knowledge and practical application of Six Sigma methodologies, with Green Belt certification and/or Black Belt training strongly preferred
Excellent executive‑level communication, cross‑cultural collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across global, multi‑functional teams
