Senior MEP Project Manager

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) scopes throughout the full project lifecycle
Review mechanical bid tabs and Exhibit B scopes during procurement
Interview, select, and manage MEP subcontractors
Oversee day-to-day performance, coordination, and compliance of MEP subcontractors
Conduct regular site walks to ensure work is progressing according to schedule and quality standards
Coordinate closely with Superintendents and BIM/VDC teams to maintain effective trade coordination
Work with Architects and Engineers to resolve design and constructability challenges
Review and manage all MEP submittals and long-lead equipment procurement
Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and coordination with commissioning agents
Coordinate with owner-appointed third-party contractors, testing agencies, and utility providers
Manage life safety inspections and obtain all required AHJ approvals
Ensure accurate closeout documentation, including as-builts, O&Ms, attic stock, and owner training
Attend and contribute to owner, subcontractor, coordination, and field meetings
Drive MEP punch list completion, turnover, and final closeout

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, or related Engineering discipline required
Proven ability to manage subcontractor performance, schedules, and financials
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and contract comprehension
Ability to evaluate financial trade-offs and make decisions in complex, fast-moving environments
Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to act decisively
Effective communicator and team leader with the ability to resolve conflicts professionally
Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic project environment

Preferred

Strong background in mission-critical, data center, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly MEP-intensive environments preferred
10+ years of experience managing MEP/FP systems on large, complex construction projects
Experience delivering large-scale mission-critical or data center projects
Strong understanding of commissioning processes and life safety systems
Hands-on experience coordinating BIM/VDC workflows with field execution
Exposure to fast-track or phased delivery environments
Alignment with a values-driven culture emphasizing integrity, collaboration, and performance
