This role involves hands-on administration, sustainment, and troubleshooting of networks, servers, workstations, and virtualized environments, ensuring high availability and security compliance.

Responsibilities
Daily administration and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure
Installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management of hardware and software
Support for servers, workstations, and virtual environments
Troubleshooting network, system, and performance issues
Ensuring compliance with DoD security standards and data protection policies
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years of system administration / system management experience
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP, and OSI model
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems (CLI experience required)
Solid knowledge of IT security principles (firewalls, DMZs, system hardening)
Experience with remote access solutions and VPN security
Knowledge of wireless transmission protocols and jamming concepts (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID, IR, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud deployment models (public, private, hybrid) and workload migrations
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification, such as: Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP, GICSP
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Information Systems
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
ITIL v4 Foundation knowledge
Experience supporting Navy or DoD enterprise environments
Exposure to advanced enterprise monitoring tools
