Investment Officer (Fixed Income-Credit)
The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) is seeking a Fixed Income Investment Officer to join their Office of Investment Management. The role involves managing a significant multi-asset global portfolio, conducting credit analysis, and integrating ESG considerations into investments.

Responsibilities
Assist the SIO in managing corporate and government-related bond portfolios in accordance with OIM’s investment policy and strategic goals
Balance long-term return objectives with short-term performance targets to outperform benchmark indices
Conduct fundamental and quantitative credit analysis of corporate issuers using financial statements, market data, sector performance, and ESG factors
Monitor portfolio holdings, conduct security-level analysis, and support portfolio rebalancing and risk monitoring
Analyze interest rates, ETFs, capital structures, and fixed income ESG data using advanced financial and risk tools
Participate in internal portfolio review meetings and support the preparation of presentations and recommendations
Engage with brokers, strategists, economists, and research providers to inform investment decisions
Evaluate external research providers and assist in manager due diligence and performance assessment
Support implementation of fixed income derivative strategies and related projects
Ensure compliance with the Fund’s four investment criteria: safety, profitability, liquidity, and convertibility
Prepare investment reports and support briefings for senior management and governing bodies
Contribute to the development of asset allocation and portfolio construction discussions
Qualification
Required
Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics, or a related field is required
A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of experience in investment management may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree
A minimum of five years of experience analyzing corporate credit securities, including ESG considerations, is required
Portfolio management analytics experience in U.S. fixed income credit markets is required
Preferred
Experience in trading U.S. corporate bond exposures at a large pension fund, investment manager, or insurance company is desirable
Experience in quantitative portfolio modeling is desirable
