Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to our policyholders
Virtually inspecting damages
Investigating coverage
Preparing estimates
Settling claims promptly and accurately
Interacting with customers, contractors, and vendors through various software platforms
Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants
Utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment
Protect the company financially by executing policies along policy agreements
Keep a clear record of your work in a claims system
Qualification
Required
Exceptional service to policyholders
Ability to virtually inspect damages
Investigate coverage
Prepare estimates
Settle claims promptly and accurately
Interact with customers, contractors, and vendors through various software platforms such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration
Communicate through different channels, including voice calls, email, and text messages
Focus on water losses
Lead with empathy
Confidently and independently investigate property claims
Perform detailed reviews of damage and interpret policies to determine coverage
Use phone, emails and sometimes video chat with customers
Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants
Incorporate tactics in handling challenging and complex situations
Utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment
Keep a clear record of work in a claims system
Ensure timely and accurate documentation is completed as you work on each claim
Obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license if required
Submit to a background investigation
Preferred
1+ years of previous customer service experience required
Previous industry experience is highly desired
Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments is preferred
Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders remotely
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment
Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient claim resolutions
Residency near Long Island City or Uniondale, NY is mandatory for this role
