Responsibilities
You will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the gas and electric boilers, HVAC, air compressors, pumps, emergency generators, and other auxiliary equipment
You will engage your technical expertise with independent problem solving and attention to detail
You will perform tasks pertaining to the boiler room and steam distribution system
You will perform rounds and inspections of machine rooms and roof areas
You will communicate effectively with your team
You will engage with a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and attention to detail
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Must possess a City of Tacoma Engineer License II or obtain license within 90 days of hire
Knowledgeable in steam, HVAC, and basic electrical related to plant operations and maintenance as demonstrated by level of license and experience
Minimum three (3) years of experience directly related to operations and maintenance of building mechanical and electrical systems
Valid Washington State driver's license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state
Preferred
Computer and EMCS experience preferred
