Maintenance Repairer 2

Responsibilities
Performs skilled repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and general building maintenance. Diagnoses maintenance deficiencies and determines appropriate corrective actions
Prepare units for occupancy, including turnover and preventive maintenance. Responds to routine and emergency maintenance calls
Assists with inspections and corrects deficiencies cited in HUD, NSPIRE, or internal inspections. Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition
Completes work orders, inspection documentation, and related records accurately and timely. Observes all safety rules, agency policies, and procedures. Report directly to Maintenance Foreman and/or Executive Director
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses
Requires working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance practices
The ability to diagnose and repair deficiencies
Adherence to safety regulations
The ability to communicate effectively and maintain accurate records
Reliability, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently
