Portfolio Manager
Krasan Consulting Services is seeking a Consulting Portfolio Manager accountable for strategic portfolio leadership and delivery oversight of client projects. This role focuses on ensuring project alignment with client and organizational strategies, while also providing guidance to a team of Project Managers and offshore partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Own the strategy, direction, and performance of a complex multi‑domain project portfolio, ensuring alignment to client business outcomes, value realization, KPIs, and SLAs
Serve as the primary client‑facing portfolio leader, partnering with Client Engagement and Account Management across kickoffs, governance, business reviews, and closures
Ensure consistent adherence to PMO governance, delivery standards, methodologies, and compliance, contributing to PMO strategy, templates, and continuous improvement
Collaborate closely with the offshore Project Enablement Manager to maintain high‑quality reporting, QA, documentation, and operational consistency
Identify and manage complex portfolio‑level risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations, providing direct intervention and stabilization support for at‑risk projects
Lead and influence a matrixed team of Project Managers and offshore resources, providing coaching, alignment, and delivery leadership across global teams
Analyze and present portfolio insights, delivery signals, and executive‑level reporting, including performance reviews, financials, health indicators, and value outcomes
Drive decision‑making around scope, funding, resources, and timelines, in partnership with Client Engagement and aligned to client and organizational priorities
Engage in account planning, growth strategies, and expansion opportunities, acting as a trusted advisor to maximize long‑term client success
Qualification
Required
12-15+ years in portfolio, project, program management roles within IT consulting or complex delivery organizations
Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid) and governance frameworks
Proven experience with leading large, multi-workstream portfolios with measurable business outcomes
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, MS Planner, Clarity, Workday, ClickUp, SharePoint, JIRA, etc.) and virtual collaboration tools (Teams)
Proficient analytical skills with experience using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent for insights and reporting
Exceptional leadership, influence, and stakeholder-management skills across business, technical, and executive teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready narrative building and presentation capabilities
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, high-visibility environment with shifting priorities
Ability to work independently and lead teams across global time zones
Preferred
Experience managing offshore or distributed personnel
Strong data storytelling and insights development
Familiarity with contract structures, SOWs, and commercial considerations
Experience contributing to PMO transformation or scaling initiatives
