Pharmacogenomics Data Analyst
GeneID Lab Advanced Molecular Diagnostics is seeking a Pharmacogenomics Data Analyst responsible for the independent review, analysis, and approval of pharmacogenomic test data in a CLIA-certified laboratory. The role involves ensuring the analytical validity and compliance of genotyping data while collaborating with various teams to support high-quality patient testing.

Responsibilities
Perform detailed review of pharmacogenomic genotyping data generated from:
OpenArray™ platforms
CNV assays
Single-gene or single-assay molecular tests
Evaluate assay quality metrics, controls, and performance indicators to ensure results meet CLIA-defined acceptance criteria
Verify genotype calls, copy number determinations, and data integrity prior to result authorization
Identify, investigate, and document discrepant, ambiguous, or failed results; recommend repeat testing or corrective actions as needed
Conduct all review activities in compliance with CLIA (42 CFR Part 493) requirements and laboratory SOPs
Ensure proper documentation of result review, approval, and corrective actions within the LIMS or validated data systems
Apply pharmacogenomic knowledge to assess consistency and plausibility of genotype results
Support accurate downstream phenotype assignment and clinical reporting workflows (as applicable)
Escalate complex or atypical cases to laboratory leadership or directors when required under CLIA guidelines
Work closely with laboratory technologists, molecular scientists, bioinformatics teams, and quality personnel
Support training initiatives related to genotyping data review and CLIA compliance
Qualification
Required
Master's or PhD degree in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field
Demonstrated genotyping experience in a clinical or regulated laboratory setting
Strong experience with pharmacogenomic (PGx) data analysis
Excellent knowledge of molecular genetics and genomic principles
Experience reviewing or interpreting data from array-based, PCR-based, or similar genotyping technologies
Basic computational skills, including data review using spreadsheets, analysis software, or laboratory data systems
Solid academic and/or professional background in genetics and genomics
2 years of pharmacogenomic (PGx) data analysis experience
Preferred
Experience working in a CLIA certified laboratory
Familiarity with CYP genes and other clinically relevant PGx markers
Experience with OpenArray™, CNV analysis, or similar high-throughput genotyping platforms
Knowledge of LIMS and validated clinical data systems
2 years of Genotyping experience
