Responsibilities
Work with Management to learn categories, suppliers, processes, and strategies
Gather and analyze data on supplier capabilities, pricing, and market trends
Support Management with the creation of category strategies, including conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, and business review planning and scorecard data
Assist with the evaluation of Supplier quote packages and spend data
Support deployment of procurement technology
Analyze, pull data and reports with support of finance, and maintain category-specific reports and documentation
Perform order management activities
Support Procurement Leadership & Global Category Managers on daily and on demand projects and activities as required
May support management of applications, data, and systems for the direct & indirect team
Assist senior category specialists with contract administration tasks (as needed)
Benchmark industry trends and best practices in procurement
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
One to two years of experience required
MS Office proficiency required
Knowledge of Procurement or Supply Chain systems, tools, policies, and procedures
Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
Demonstrated understanding of cost reduction strategies and day to day Procurement operations
Understand basics of demand planning and inventory management
Proficient in communication skills
Must be willing to manage within an organization undergoing change
Requires occasional early morning or evening teleconferences
Works under general office environmental conditions, with sitting for extended periods
Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation under national disability requirements
May travel domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred
CPSM or CPM or other certification preferred
MS Project or Planview experience preferred
Both Direct and Indirect Procurement experience a plus
